Tucked away in the tropical jungle of the Dominican Republic, our property offers a comfortable open-air experience while being completely immersed in nature.

Our Yoga Dome can accommodate 30-35 people for a group session. Yoga mats are available but large groups should encourage guests to bring their own. The Main Lodge building is our dining room and general gathering area and can be set up as another practice area or meeting space, as well as the smaller space adjacent to the Main Lodge with a water-firepit pool and benches.

Spread across a beautiful valley in the Samana Peninsula in the northern region of the Dominican Republic, our 22 cabins are connected by various rope bridges and jungle paths that are all designed to emphasize and enhance an intimate connection with nature and separation from the modern world. The valley is breezy and virtually mosquito free which allows our guests to be able to comfortably enjoy the open-air design. All rooms have a queen bed, hanging hammock chairs and a private bathroom with a toilet, sink and fresh, cool water shower. Our Family Rooms offer a two-room floor plan for up to 4 guests, and our VIP suites have a king bed and an outside hot water shower. Guests looking to cool off and take a short 2-minute walk to Cascada Lulu waterfall and lagoon, or hop on one of our free beach cruiser bicycles and take a short peddle through the town of El Valle to one of the island's most secluded beaches. This incredibly tranquil beach has clear water, soft sand and a truly amazing view.

Retreat hosts have the opportunity to book a shared or exclusive use contract while staying at the Tree House. They also have exclusive use of our Yoga Dome, which can accommodate 30-35 people for a group session. The Main Lodge building is our dining room and general gathering area. For exclusive use groups, we’ve accommodated general sessions here for up to 54 guests. There is also a smaller space adjacent to the Main Lodge with a water-firepit pool and benches. This is a great area for bringing your group together for discussions, meditation or story-sharing.

All rooms have a queen bed, hammock chairs, and private bathroom. Family rooms have a 2-room layout with a bunk bed to accommodate up to 4 people. VIPs have king bed with outside hot water shower.

All rooms have private bathroom with a sink, toilet and cool water shower. VIPs have a half-bath and outside hot water shower. We also have 9 communal full bathrooms that offer hot water showers.

Limited cleaning service is available for guests of groups staying over an extended period of time.

Meals are served at DTHV buffet style and feature chicken, beef, and vegetarian dishes that rotate daily throughout the week. Any allergies or dietary needs can be accommodated.

Our Main Lodge can accommodate up to 54 guests.

In addition to Cascada Lulu, the gardens, is our yoga dome and swimming pool. We also have a zipline experience that runs between the mountains forming the valley where the property sits.

Santo Domingo International (SDQ) is the most convenient with multiple flights, carriers and is approximately a 2.5-hour drive to DTHV. Samana El Catey (AZS) is closest but has limited options.

Groups receive discounted rates/amenities with 6+ rooms. Group bookings made more than a year prior are 95% refundable up to 366 days prior to arrival. Thereafter, and for groups booked less than a year prior, payments are non-refundable, but 50% can be applied to future retreat. 10% due at booking; 40% due 90 days; balance due 30 days prior.
