Mauss Hall has a multi-purpose room that is 750-square feet. Tables and chairs can easily be added or completely removed. Our meditation hall is 800 square feet. We have our own meditation mats and pillows. Both Mauss Hall and the meditation hall are equipped to handle Zoom participation.

Our Facilities
Hokyoji Retreat Center Minnesota is thoughtfully designed to accommodate a wide variety of retreats, including yoga retreats, workshops, spiritual gatherings, creative sessions, and wellness programs. Our facilities include:
* Meditation Hall: A quiet, adaptable space for reflection, group activities, or workshops.
* Multi-Purpose Room: A spacious 750-square-foot room perfect for discussions, presentations, or other group events.
* Modern Dormitory: Accommodates from 5 to 15 guests, with 9 rooms being singles. Up to 9 more beds are available on the rest of the campus. Tent camping is also popular in our large meadow.
* Commercial Kitchen: Fully equipped with modern appliances, including a six-burner stove, an oven, and generous counter space, making it ideal for group meal preparation. The kitchen is commercial quality, licensed by the health department.
* Hiking Trails: Scenic trails wind through our 105-acre property, offering lush forests, meadows, and stunning vistas perfect for exploration and quiet reflection.
* Small Group Requirements: Reservations require only a group size of five, making Hokyoji an excellent choice for intimate gatherings or large events.
* Affordability and Privacy: Our simple, modern facilities offer an affordable retreat option with the privacy your group needs.
Bedrooms
There are 15 beds in our dormitory, 9 of which are singles. Up to 9 more beds are available on the rest of the campus. Tent camping is also popular in our large meadow.
Bathrooms
There are seven bathrooms on campus, all of them private. There are also five showers, separate from the bathrooms.
Catering
Hokyoji staff will cook delicious vegetarian meals for your group. Or, if you choose, your group can prepare its own meals in our commercial kitchen, fostering camaraderie while saving on cost.
Kitchen and Dining room
Mauss Hall would comfortably seat 50 for a meal. Our kitchen is commercial quality, and includes a six-burner stove, an oven, and generous counter space, making it ideal for group meal preparation.
Outdoor
There are numerous hiking trails, travelling through both wooded areas, and meadows with incredible views. There are also trails on the flatland of the campus, for those with more limited mobility.
