Oura Retreat Venue is a peaceful jungle hideaway in South Sri Lanka with yoga shala, pool, healthy cuisine & modern rooms - perfect for travel groups, yoga, coaching, brand & community retreats.

The venue features a spacious 40 m² yoga shala with jungle views, accommodating up to 22 guests. It is fully equipped with yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and sound healing equipment. The open-sided design with fans creates natural ventilation and a calm, inspiring atmosphere. You can freely integrate and use the space according to your retreat needs and vision.

Oura Retreat Venue is a thoughtfully designed retreat space located in the tropical south of Sri Lanka, surrounded by lush jungle and just minutes from the ocean. Created for meaningful group experiences, the venue combines peaceful nature, modern architecture and a warm community atmosphere.

The property accommodates up to 20 guests and offers 10 modern ensuite double rooms with air conditioning, daily housekeeping, natural light, jungle views, newly renovated bathrooms and in addition, the venue features two outdoor bathrooms with tropical showers and bathtubs. The venue includes a fully equipped yoga shala with sound healing equipment, a spacious pool area, open community spaces, stable WiFi, filtered drinking water and an open kitchen and dining area designed for connection and relaxation.

Oura is ideal for yoga retreats, surf retreats, any kind of workshops, coaching retreats, creative gatherings, workations and brand or community events. Hosts have full flexibility to create their own schedule and retreat concept. We are happy to connect organisers with trusted local providers for surf lessons, yoga teachers, massages, safaris, transport and other experiences.

The venue is located close to Unawatuna Beach and only 15 minutes from Galle Fort, offering easy access to beaches, cafés, restaurants and local culture while still feeling private and immersed in nature.

Oura offers 10 bright ensuite double rooms, each with a queen-size bed, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with modern fixtures. Rooms are designed for couples or shared use by friends or solo travelers, with flexible bedding setups for comfort and privacy. All rooms include natural light, jungle views and daily housekeeping, creating a calm and comfortable stay for retreat guests.

Each ensuite bathroom is modern and well-equipped. The design includes practical storage and plenty of space for hanging towels and placing toiletries. In addition to the ensuite bathrooms, the venue offers two outdoor bathrooms with tropical showers and bathtubs for a unique open-air experience.

Daily cleaning service is included to keep all rooms and shared spaces fresh and well maintained throughout the retreat. Bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are regularly cleaned by our on-site team with attention to detail. Fresh towels and bed linen are provided and replaced as needed to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests.

Oura offers full-board catering with fresh, healthy meals prepared on-site. Guests enjoy a mix of Sri Lankan and European cuisine with daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. Ingredients are locally sourced when possible, including fresh produce from local markets and our own garden, ensuring nourishing meals throughout the retreat.

The dining area at Oura is a spacious communal setting designed for shared meals, comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests at the same time. Oura is located near Unawatuna Beach and Galle Fort, offering easy access to Sri Lanka’s vibrant south coast. Guests can enjoy surfing at nearby beginner-friendly breaks, yoga studios, cafés, restaurants and beach bars. Popular activities include safaris, river boat trips, snorkeling, diving, tea plantation visits and cultural explorations - perfect for enriching any travel experience.

Oura is located in southern Sri Lanka, surrounded by tropical jungle and just minutes from Unawatuna Beach. Galle Fort is 15 minutes away, and Colombo Airport about 2.5 hours by car.

The nearest airport is Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), approximately 2.5 to 3 hours away by car.

The nearest town is Unawatuna, just a few minutes away by tuk-tuk. It offers cafés, restaurants, beach bars, shops and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. The historic city of Galle is also nearby.

The nearest major train station is Galle Railway Station, about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from Oura. It connects the south coast with Colombo and other main cities in Sri Lanka.
