Description

The house is located in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, at the base of the sacred hill of Arunachala. This has been a powerful place of worship and devotion for centuries and the high frequency vibrations here are tangible. There are many ashrams and temples here. A 4 hour drive from Chennai airport and a 5 hour drive from Bangalore airport.

The house is a large 3 story house, built to western standards, with a beautiful covered roof terrace. We started operating exclusively as a retreat house in 2023 and rent exclusively to one group at a time. The more comfortable season is from August to March.

There are 10 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, sleeping 21 people in twin beds. There is an interior meeting area on the ground floor and a large covered roof, excellent for yoga, meetings and workshops. There are comfortable common spaces, an outdoor veranda and living room with fridge and sink. There are 2 beverage stations in the house with coffee and tea supplied. All taps carry filter water.

There is no kitchen available for group use and it is optional to take meals in the house. We bring in vegetarian food from excellent local restaurants, or cooked by local chefs in their catering kitchens. The meals can be tailored to your dietary requirements with prior arrangement. For example, the meals can be all or partly gluten free, or vegan. The meals can be Indian cuisine using completely non-chili spices; so very tasty, and Indian, but easy for Westerners to enjoy. The food can also be Western, with Pizza, and French fries, and pasta. There is a very wide range of possibilities.
