We have built a serene, open-air yoga shala designed to harmonize your practice with the jungle’s rhythm and provide a peaceful atmosphere for movement and meditation. To ensure a seamless experience, we are fully equipped with high-quality yoga mats, blankets, and blocks for up to 20 practitioners. We also have contacts for local yoga teachers. Just bring your intention, we’ll provide the rest.

Eco practices

We use an advanced biodigester system to protect local aquifers and a saline pool to eliminate harsh chemicals. Our villas were constructed to maximize natural ventilation and light, reducing energy consumption while maintaining high-end comfort. Our water station where you can re-fill your flasks eliminates the need to use single-use plastic bottles.

Description

The Mayan Jungle Retreats, aka Espejo Verde (Green Mirror), is a place surrounded by ever green nature created for self-reflection, healing, and recovery. Just 30 minutes from Cancun International Airport, our center offers a "Modern Rustic" aesthetic where minimalist architectural elegance meets the raw beauty of nature. The heart of the property is our majestic communal Palapa with enough tables and chairs to wine and dine up to 20 people, featuring a professional chef’s kitchen and an expansive island—perfect for culinary workshops, shared meals, or evening integration.

We offer 6 private, air-conditioned jungle villas that comfortably sleep 10 guests, 2 dorm rooms for 8 more participants, and one room for 2 group leaders (for a maximum capacity of 20 people). Each villa blends high-end comfort with jungle immersion, featuring private en-suite bathrooms and stunning views of the emerald canopy.

Our facilities are purpose-built for wellness leaders and comprise a dedicated yoga shala for movement and mindfulness, a 33-foot saline pool for aquatic healing, and a bonfire pit for group integrations and ceremonies.

Your hosts are Maciek, an expert in tourism, travel plans and Mexican culture with over 20 years of expertise, and Magda, an intuitive healer, a specialist in wellness, retreat dynamics, and massage with over 15 years in the field. You don't need any previous experience, they will help you organize the perfect retreat!

Bedrooms

1) 2 villas, each with 1 queen-size bed. Ideal for someone, who wants to be alone or for a couple.
2) 4 villas, each with 2 queen-size beds. Perfect for 2 individuals, who want to share a room, sleeping separately.
3) 2 rooms, each with 4 individual-size beds. Perfect for four individuals, who want to share a room, sleeping separately.
4) 1 leaders' room with 2 individual beds

Bathrooms

Each villa and each room have their own private full bathroom equipped with a washbasin with a mirror, a shower, a toilet, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, body lotion and fresh towels. For your convenience, in the rooms shared by 2 to 4 people we separated the shower room from the toilet room.

Cleaning

We have a person responsible for cleaning the rooms and the spaces. They will enter the rooms for general tidying up, bathroom sanitization etc. unless specifically instructed not to. We change towels every 3rd day of stay.
As a general rule we leave coffee/tea/water cups out for everyone to use them at their needs basis (there's plenty). We kindly ask everyone to wash them after use.

Catering

We want to hear what you need. Normally, we include 3 nourishing plant-based meals in the retreat pricing. If you want to explore the area, some meals can be prepared as a take-away. At an extra fee we can include animal protein or invite entertainers (e.g. fire show, native dancers etc.). We are open to you bringing your own chef with your group if your type of retreat requires that.

Kitchen and Dining room

We have a fully equipped kitchen, which for safety reasons can be used only by our or your private chef and their assistant(s). Our diner area is spacious enough for 20 people to each comfortably. To reduce our eco print, we use proper plates and never serve food in single-use plastics. We have a water station where you can refill your water flasks all day long.

Outdoor

We are completely immersed in the ever green jungle, which is a bliss for the nervous system. There is a bonfire place under the starlit sky and a yoga shala you can use for group integrations anytime you want. There is a salty pool with loungers and a hammock around it. There's a path going around the common areas where you can enjoy a bird/animal watching stroll through the jungle.

This retreat centre is located on the Cenotes' Route of Puerto Morelos, the gateway to the Riviera Maya, which makes it possible for guests to easily explore world-class cenotes, coral reefs, and ancient ruins between mindful activities. Whether you are hosting a yoga teacher training, a corporate offsite, or a deep-healing immersion, Espejo Verde can be a perfect base for local explorations.
