The Crystal Shala is an octagonal glass pavilion beside the pool, open on all sides, for up to 20 people. The open-air meditation pavilion holds up to 16 and suits circles, sound baths and breathwork. On site: 16 yoga mats and 32 blocks. Need more props? Tell us and we'll have them ready.

Eco practices

Lunita runs on 100% solar power, stored in five batteries, fully off the grid. Our water comes from an underground cenote, and a biodigester treats wastewater to nourish the soil. We didn't cut a single tree to build the center and have planted more than 5,000 since. Groups plant one more before they leave.

Description

Lunita was built by an Italian mother and son, Lorenza and Nico Rossi, in the Maya jungle near Puerto Morelos: 40 minutes from Cancún airport, 20 minutes from the Caribbean Sea, no neighbors in sight.

We host one group at a time, so the whole place is yours: 8 cabanas and a mini apartment for up to 20 guests, the Crystal Shala (an octagonal glass pavilion beside the pool), an open-air meditation pavilion watched over by the Grandfather tree, a traditional temazcal, a pool filled with cenote water and no chlorine, an ice bath, a jungle gym, fire circles and two walking paths through the trees.

Our chef cooks for your group for the whole stay, with menus shaped around your program and every guest's allergies.

Since our first retreat in March 2023 we've hosted more than 120 retreats. Sixteen leaders came back to host again, and that's the number we're proudest of.

We plan with you from the first call: dates, program, transfers, local facilitators and more than 50 experiences and excursions. Stay 3 nights or more and your group receives four gifts: a shamanic blessing to open, a one-hour photoshoot by Nico (a photographer for 20+ years, so you go home with images for your next retreat), a tree planting and Lorenza's Hug Ceremony to close. Bedrooms

8 cabanas, each with a queen bed and a twin, a private bathroom with hot water, a writing desk, a fan, a small fridge, mosquito-netted windows and a terrace with its own hammock. Plus a second-floor mini apartment with four beds and a private bathroom. Towels, blankets and eco-friendly toiletries are provided. Up to 20 guests in total.

Bathrooms

Every cabana and the mini apartment has its own private bathroom with shower, sink, WC and hot water. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided, and all the water comes from an underground cenote.

Cleaning

Daily basic cleaning is included. Extra cleaning on request is invoiced separately. A maintenance technician is on site throughout your retreat.

Catering

Our chef stays with your group for the whole retreat and cooks three meals a day, with unlimited drinking water. There's no fixed diet: we design the menu with you around your program, and every allergy and intolerance is covered. Vegan, vegetarian, raw, Mexican or a mix, with local and seasonal ingredients. Food is priced per person per day.

Kitchen and Dining room

The dining pavilion is roofed for the rain and open on every side to the jungle, with long tables where the whole group eats together: up to 20 at the tables and up to 30 around the pool for celebrations. Our chef runs the kitchen, with a waiter scaled to your group size.

Outdoor

5,000 m² inside private jungle, with two walking paths that never reach a road. A pool filled with cenote water, hammocks and loungers, a traditional temazcal, three fire circles, a wooden ice bath and a jungle gym. Art installations hide along the trails, starting with the moon at the entrance, which glows at night.

Things To Do Nearby

A private cenote 10 minutes away, bookable for your group. Puerto Morelos beach and snorkeling or diving on the Mesoamerican Reef, 20 minutes. Day trips to Tulum, Cobá, Chichén Itzá and Ek' Balam, the islands of Isla Mujeres, Holbox and Cozumel, the Akumal turtle sanctuary, and a tacos tour in town. We organize all of it.
