A stunning piece of colonial architecture draped in 25 acres of lush greenery, and nestled in Ratnapura in close proximity to the Sri Pada mountain range, the Gileemale Retreat has been refurbished to build an entity of sustainable hospitality.

Description

The property consist of 2 Single Rooms and 4 Double Bedrooms which could accommodate 10 Pax as a whole group. The whole of our retreat venue Sri Lanka property has 2 Dry washrooms & 1 washroom with a bath tub (Shared Basis) & Hot water included. A common open air bath area is dedicated for the guests.
We have a yoga shala which could accommodate 10 Pax inside the house.

Surrounded by natural richness and a variety of plantations, Gileemale Walawwa extends across 25 acres allowing you to immerse yourself in a serene environment. From the location of the mansion, you can easily access bird sanctuaries, the Kalu river which is the deepest river in Sri Lanka, Adam’s Peak valley, and many other attractions in the Sabaragamuwa region.

While Gileemale Walawwa provides the ultimate comfort in accommodations, we also offer a wide variety of experiences to make your stay truly memorable. We have compiled a list of activities that are designed to refresh and rejuvenate you by connecting with nature and the local communities in the surrounding areas.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms are cleaned on request and we have 2 single rooms and 4 Double Bedrooms.

Bathrooms

We have 3 in house Washrooms with hot water in the house. There is an outdoor shared bathroom for bathing purposes and of course you have the river behind the house which is used for bathing purposes.

Cleaning

There is no charges for cleaning as it is on request.

Catering

There are 3 helpers to help you with cooking and serving of food. The food is prepared in-house Old style wood stove kitchen. (With a Farm to table concept)

Kitchen and Dining room

8 people can have dinner at on go and the kitchen is equipped with a microwave and a water heater for your purposes with coffee and tea available.
