Our dedicated yoga and seminar room is a flexible indoor space suited to yoga, meditation, movement sessions, workshops, talks, and group activities and it comfortably holds approximately 14 people. The property's nine additional meditation spots offer alternative settings that hold anywhere from 4 up to 30 people, allowing organisers to structure sessions across multiple locations.

Description

Alto Paraíso has been described as a love poem to Portugal — its architecture, orchards, and landscape woven into the hills above the Atlantic coast on Portugal's Silver Coast. As the last property on a rural road and the highest point for miles, it offers uninterrupted privacy, space, and quiet, with sweeping views over the surrounding mountain forests and countryside.

The primary property offers 7 suites, with the flexibility to expand for larger groups: a cottage just across the street adds 2 further suites, and a sister property a 9-minute drive away offers 5 more full suites — bringing total capacity to 14 suites and up to 30 people. Communal spaces include a swimming pool, jacuzzi, plunge pool, sauna, a dedicated yoga shala, and nine additional meditation spots scattered across the property, each holding between 4 and 30 people depending on the location. Six acres of orchards surround the property, with something in bloom or ready to harvest year-round.

Just a short walk away is a quaint Portuguese village with cafes, restaurants, and everyday essentials, while most of the Silver Coast's key sites are within a 20-minute drive — giving guests an easy balance between seclusion and access.

We have hosted multi-day retreats, women's retreats, yoga and meditation groups, creative workshops, therapeutic movement sessions, executive leadership retreats, strategic planning conferences, and private group events, giving us a strong understanding of the needs of retreat organisers across both wellness and corporate settings.

Bedrooms

Alto Paraíso offers 5 comfortable bedrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests. The rooms are suitable for couples or shared accommodation, making the setup ideal for small and intimate retreat groups.

Bathrooms

Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own private en suite bathroom, providing comfort and privacy for retreat guests. The property also has one additional guest bathroom for use in the shared areas.

Catering

We offer flexible catering options tailored to each group and retreat. Meals can be prepared on-site, with a focus on fresh, homemade food and seasonal ingredients, including fruits, vegetables and herbs from our own garden and orchard whenever available.

Kitchen and Dining room

The property has a fully equipped kitchen suitable for preparing meals for retreat groups, with ample space for catering and food preparation. The dining area comfortably seats 10 guests at the same time, making it ideal for shared breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There are also outdoor areas that can be used for group dining when the weather allows.

Nearby, guests can enjoy the beaches of Portugal’s Silver Coast, surfing in areas such as Peniche and Baleal, coastal walks, local markets, traditional restaurants and charming nearby towns such as Lourinhã and Óbidos.
