The shala is a small distance away from the main communal areas and guest villas so it’s the perfect place to hold workshops, practice yoga or meditate in uninterrupted peace and quiet. The floor space is shaded and is a generous 80 sqm allowing for 20 people. In the event of rain or cooler weather, there are plastic sides which can be pulled down and heaters. All yoga props are provided.

Eco practices

Greece is a little behind on eco-practices and recycling. We try our best to recycle within the municipality parameters. We support local producers and farmers by buying locally grown produce and we try to only buy what is in season in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We have also avoided single use plastic water bottles by having a water filter installed. Please bring own water bottles.

Description

Mimosa Retreat Centre is a retreat property situated on Lefkada Island, Greece. If you are a yoga teacher looking for a sunny space, a book writer looking to run a creative writing workshop or meditation facilitator looking for that ideal hideaway – we have the location for you! The retreat centre nestles discreetly against the mountainside boasting stunning views of Skorpios, the island famously owned by Onnasis in the 60s.
The property itself comprises of the main communal house which consists of a fully fitted kitchen, living room, dining room and TV room. To compliment this there are 5 guest villas all including two bedroom suites and a shared living room, 10 rooms in total. We have 7 rooms with twin beds sharing and 3 with king beds. All bedrooms have an air-conditioning unit and WIFI. The villas are set amongst beautiful lush foliage and ancient olive trees.

The Mimosa Retreat Centre, Greece is a superb and expansive Balinese styled property, set in beautiful grounds with a panoramic outlook towards the Ionian Sea – see photos on our gallery page. Secluded and tranquil, this is the perfect retreat destination to offer your students. There is a fully equipped and fitted kitchen used by our resident chef, two dining areas, one inside, seating 12, the other outdoors, seating 20.

The property is in walking distance to the small town of Nidri and a 10 minute downhill walk to the sea. Lefkada has some beautiful beaches to visit, gorgeous mountains to hike and cuisine.

Bedrooms

There are 10 bedrooms all on-suite, 3 with king size beds and 7 with twins sharing. All rooms have AC, sea views and a central shared living room.

Bathrooms

There are 9 bathrooms all with indoor, outdoor showers and a bath. One bathroom with a shower serves the pool area. There are a further two guest toilets situated on the property

Cleaning

Rooms and communal areas are cleaned daily with exception of Sundays

Catering

We offer a brunch/snack/dinner package served buffet style. The chosen menu can be vegetarian, vegan, seafood or mixed proteins. We showcase only the very best of Greek and Mediterranean homestyle cooking. Our chefs are fantastic and aim to please, however please keep in mind that we are not a health and wellness farm.

Kitchen and Dining room

There is a fully equipped and fitted kitchen where our resident chef makes his magic. There is an indoor dining room seating 12 and a huge outdoor dining table with sea views seating up to 20.

Outdoor

Students can enjoy seclusion in one of 2 meditation pavilions, or the massage pavilion. One can relax around the 196 sqm lagoon style infinity pool. The grounds are immaculate and perfect for a walk.

Lefkada is an island which has limitless opportunities to explore nature. Hiking in the mountains, taking a group boat trip, swimming in waterfalls close by and wine tasting are to name but a few. Our chef can also offer your group a cooking demo on site. If venturing off the property is not for you, try a massage, a sound healing session or a reflexology workshop with one of our trusted suppliers

Min booking-5 nights. Min group size-10 for catering.We require a non-refundable initial payment of 25% to secure dates. We require a second payment of 35% of the total booking value, due no later than 6 months prior to check-in.The final payment and your refundable damages deposit of €1000.00 is due two months before check-in along with catering
