The 33 ft geodesic dome serves as an air-conditioned yoga and seminar space for movement, workshops, and ceremonies. The labyrinth’s energy centers offer powerful spots for reflection and inner work. Open forest clearings provide flexible outdoor settings, while the medicinal garden supports tea rituals, healing practices, and deeper connection with nature.

Eco practices

La Senda integrates eco-conscious practices throughout the property, including solar energy use and water conservation systems. The glamping tents were built on-site using local wood. Organic gardens supply fresh produce, while waste is minimized through composting and recycling. The design preserves the surrounding forest, supporting biodiversity and a regenerative relationship with the land.

Description

La Senda is a retreat center located 15 minutes from Tamarindo, set within 74 acres of tropical forest. It’s designed to support facilitators in creating intentional, transformative experiences, offering a peaceful, nature-immersed environment where groups can slow down and go deeper.

At the heart of the land is a unique walking labyrinth—one of the largest of its kind—built around two opposite charged energy centers. Many facilitators integrate it into their programs as a powerful space for reflection, insight, and inner work.

The property features nine spacious safari-style glamping tents, each with a private bathroom and terrace, accommodating 18–27 guests. The open-air design encourages connection with nature while maintaining comfort.

Group sessions are held in a 33-ft air-conditioned geodesic dome, ideal for workshops, movement, meditation, and ceremonies.

Meals are fresh, seasonal, and prepared with locally sourced and organic ingredients, many grown on-site. Herbal teas from the medicinal garden are also offered to support the retreat process.

La Senda has hosted yoga, meditation, breathwork, and personal development retreats, with many facilitators returning. Its balance of seclusion and accessibility makes it an ideal setting for meaningful retreat experiences.

Bedrooms

All nine luxury glamping tents can be configured with a king bed or up to three twin beds. Each has a private terrace overlooking the forest. The mesh back wall creates a direct connection to nature, often with howler monkeys passing by. Cooling is provided by movable fans, as well as natural airflow, keeping the space comfortable while immersed in the environment.

Bathrooms

Each glamping unit includes a private ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and vanity.

Catering

Food is a central part of the retreat experience, designed to nourish, delight the senses, and support inner work. Meals feature organic produce from our gardens and locally sourced ingredients, ensuring seasonality and sustainability. Menus accommodate vegetarian, vegan, fish, and chicken options, and can be tailored to individual dietary needs.

Kitchen and Dining room

The glamping site features a private kitchenette with a fridge and coffee/tea station. All meals are prepared at the main house and served in our rancho by the organic garden. Enjoy a refreshing 10-minute walk through nature between your accommodation and the dining area—a perfect moment for reflection and fresh air.

A range of experiences can enrich your retreat, from meditation, sound healing, temazcal, cacao ceremonies, plant work, and workshops, to visits to our gardens, medicinal plants, and beekeeping. Tamarindo’s beaches and market are 15 minutes away, while waterfalls, national parks, and volcanoes can be explored within an hour.
