About the property

The Woodland Retreat is set in 3 acres of ancient woodland on the Isle of Wight. The ferry is only a 5 minute walk away linking us to the rest of the U.K. We can offer different retreat experiences.

Yoga/Seminar room

This a large cabin in the woodland with all yoga mats, blanket and blocks, projector (can be provided). This space has serval different heating options including log burner, air con unit and plug in free standing electric radiators. This space has its own shower/toilet room and kitchen (fully equip including dishwasher).

Eco practices

Our electrical supplier is Ecotricity, we use eco-friendly cleaning products & up-cycle as much as possible; we also recycle. We shop locally as much as we can; are setting up our own organic veggie garden. You don't need to bring cars as we are a 5 minute walk to the Wightlink Ferry linking you to the mainland; the bus stop is only a few minutes walk.

Description

The Woodland Retreat venue for hire UK offers a space to immerse yourself into the delights of retreat away from the busyness of modern life. The Retreat is located in Fishbourne which is a 5 minute walk from the Wightlink Ferry linking you to Portsmouth Harbour. To travel to the I.O.W. from London takes about 3 hours including the ferry.

The retreat is set in an ancient woodland with an abundance of wildlife including the red squirrels, buzzards, foxes, and much more. The sea is only a 15 minute walk away and we are also in walking distance to cafes, Abbey, tea rooms, a spa, restaurants, cafe bars and wonderful walks.

We do have several retreat options depending on how many people you are accommodating.

Option 1 - Main house and cabin (sleeps up to 14 with everyone sharing rooms)
Large open plan kitchen, dining room & lounge with outside decking area.
There are 4 bedrooms all with flexible sleeping arrangements.
The Buddha Room has one double, 2 single sofa beds & en-suite.
The Bohemian Room has one double (or 2 singles), 2 single sofa beds.
The Chakra Room has one double (or 2 singles) and 2 single sofa beds.
The Ganesha Room downstairs has 1 single & 1 single sofa bed
One large bathroom upstairs & shower/ toilet room downstairs.
We have a large cabin for yoga/workshops further in the woods equip with shower room/toilet & kitchen.

For more flexible accommodation (summer only) we have 3 bell tents (1 double & 2 singles in each), 1 outside shower/toilet, 1 pod with kitchen/shower/toilet, 1 x outside kitchen, 1 x shower/toilet trailer in our retreat venue for hire UK.

Cleaning

The Retreat will be clean on arrival. If you require extra cleaning during your stay then we charge £20per Hour.

Catering

We welcome you to bring your own cater or we can cater for you at an extra cost per person.

Kitchen and Dining room

The kitchen has everything you need including range oven, 3 x fridges 1x freezer and there is a large table with extra small tables for flexible eating arrangements. There is also outside dining.

Outdoor

Large front lawn with fire pit, decking area with table and chairs (located off the dining room) & woodland area including a small straw bale hut for meditation.
