Our open-air yoga shala is surrounded by tropical jungle and provides a peaceful dedicated space for yoga, meditation, movement and workshops. It is suitable for full retreat groups and can be arranged for different practices and session formats. The villa also has additional communal spaces that can be used for talks or smaller group activities.

Eco practices

The villa is surrounded by established tropical vegetation which we aim to preserve as part of the property’s natural environment. We minimise unnecessary single-use items, provide filtered drinking water to reduce plastic bottle use, use locally sourced produce where possible and work with local staff, chefs and service providers. Guests are encouraged to respect surrounding wildlife and jungle

Description

The Jungle Villa is a private 8-bedroom retreat venue set within approximately one acre of tropical jungle, just a few minutes from Ahangama and Sri Lanka’s south coast beaches.
Designed for groups of up to 17 guests, the property combines privacy, nature and generous communal spaces. The villa includes ensuite bedrooms, a large lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, infinity pool overlooking the jungle canopy, dedicated yoga shala and outdoor areas for relaxing between sessions.
The venue has experience hosting yoga, wellness and group retreats, and our local team can support organisers with the practical side of their stay, including catering, transport, massages, Ayurveda treatments, excursions and other activities when required.
A private chef can be arranged for breakfast, brunch, half board or full board, with vegetarian and vegan menus available as well as other dietary requirements.
Despite the secluded jungle setting, Ahangama, surf spots, beaches, cafés and restaurants are only a short drive away. Day trips to destinations such as Udawalawe, Yala, Galle, Weligama and Hiriketiya can also be organised.
The entire property is reserved exclusively for the retreat group during venue hire.

Bedrooms

The venue has 8 bedrooms with a mix of king, queen, twin and single-bed configurations. Several twin rooms can be arranged as larger beds. All bedrooms are designed for group accommodation, with the full property accommodating up to 17 guests.

Bathrooms

Bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold water. Most include showers, while the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. Additional bathroom facilities are available within the property.

Cleaning

Regular housekeeping is provided throughout retreat stays, including cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas. The pool and outdoor spaces are also maintained regularly, with our local team available to assist with practical requirements during the stay.

Catering

Private catering can be arranged for breakfast, brunch, half board or full board. Vegetarian and vegan menus are available, with other dietary requirements accommodated where possible. Meat and seafood can also be added depending on the group’s preferences.

Kitchen and Dining room

The villa has a fully equipped kitchen suitable for group catering, with fridge/freezer, cooking facilities and preparation space. The main dining and communal areas can accommodate the full retreat group for shared meals.

Outdoor

The property is surrounded by approximately one acre of tropical jungle. Outdoor facilities include an elevated infinity pool overlooking the tree canopy, terraces, garden areas and an open-air yoga shala, with several spaces for relaxing and gathering between sessions.

Things To Do Nearby

Ahangama’s beaches, surf breaks, cafés and restaurants are only a short drive away. Guests can also visit Weligama, Galle Fort, Hiriketiya and the south coast’s beaches, or arrange day trips to Udawalawe and Yala National Parks.
