Description

THE EGG is an international Venue and Retreat Centre in the middle of the Blue Zone island of Ikaria in Greece, where people live scientifically proven happier, healthier and become older than in other places on earth! The Venue is overlooking the sea from sunrise till sunset surrounded by low mountains. Imagine a truly magical place where participants can reconnect with their inner self and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit surrounded by pure nature. In a private 600 m² open-air area you can organize your own Retreat. We offer a wide range of excursions and trips you can choose from. From hiking till Greek cooking classes, local dance activities or healing hot spring excursions to stunning beaches – the island simply offers it all for your group.

Bedrooms

Our partner Hotel, just 3 minutes walking distance to THE EGG offers 35 bedrooms all on-suite. You can choose between Singles, Doubles, Family- and Triple Rooms for your group with different bed options ( Double, Twin). All rooms have AC. Some of them come with garden and some of them with sea view. A central shared sea view terrace for breakfast or relaxing is just located in front of pool.

Bathrooms

There are 35 en-suite bathrooms all with indoor showers. There is a further common guest toilet situated on the breakfast/pool/reception area.

Cleaning

Daily groundskeeping of all facilities and communal areas before, between and after classes. Rooms at the Hotel are cleaned daily.

Catering

Time to enjoy the mediterranean Ikarian kitchen. It´s fresh, healthy and tasty. We will serve you breakfast and vegan or vegetarian lunch buffets or packed picnic lunch boxes on days of excursions. Our chef will be responsible for a memorable, delicious time at the resort. A daily changing variety of exquisite, homemade cuisine – mainly organic will equip you for both, mental and physical health.

Kitchen and Dining room

Breakfast buffets can be taken at the Hotels sea view terrace or the indoor breakfast lounge. Lunch and/or dinner buffets will take place at THE EGGs outdoor dining space. Two huge dining tables with sea views seating up to 24 people (we can arrange for 45 max. furnishing an extra space) There is a fully equipped kitchen where only our resident chef makes his magic.

Outdoor

Our 180° sea-view terrace – facing the sea from sunrise till sunset is inviting you to hold early morning meditations or enjoying relaxing moments to conclude the evening class. Students can enjoy seclusion in our meditation geodome or take a nourishing massage treatment with one of our therapists. The Hotel pool is always inviting and a refreshing dip into the sea just in front of you.

Things To Do Nearby

You can choose from a big variety of hiking, hands-on cooking class, wine tasting, longevity lector classes, stunning beach trips, healing thermal hot springs, live music evenings, local dance classes and professional massage treatments. You will find one of Greece's most famous and beautiful surf and SUP beach just around the corner, as well as a unique architectural heritage of an old monastery.

Nearest Town

The nearest town is called Gialiskari village. It is 1,7 km distance to THE EGG (2 minutes by car/scooter) and offers a wide range of different Greek tavernas, 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy and bakery.

Nearest Station

Ikaria Ports: There are two ports on the island. THE EGG is a 15 minutes drive from Evdilos port and a 1,5 hour drive from Agios Kyrikos port.

Booking Conditions

Min booking-4 nights. Min group size-10. We require a 2.000 Euro reservation fee (600 Euro non-refundable) to secure dates. Second Deposit of 25% of the total rental rate due 5 months prior. Third Deposit of 25% of the total rental rate due 3 months prior. Final balance of 50% of the total rental rate 6 weeks prior.
