A taste of Japanese and Okinawan culture in a one hundred years old merchant house. Surrounded by the amazing nature of Ishigaki island, with world class beaches, jungle and diving/snorkeling spots. We are located in a quiet farmer village, 10 min by taxi or bus to the airport, with direct flights to Tokyo, Osaka or Hong-kong.

The place was a kimono creator workshop, We reformed it 10 years ago, bringing confort and modernity while keeping the spirit of the place. We can host up to 18 people in 5 rooms (each with private bathroom), the house comes with a shala, a well equipped kitchen, a dining room, 2 wood decks and a garden. The serenity of the place makes it perfect for meditation, silence and yoga practices.
Guests sleep on futons and tatami like in traditional Japan. We can organize meals or you can bring your own chief. We live nearby, and we can help you organize the retreat, activities and discover the island. we have connections with local yoga teachers, massage therapists, cooking chiefs, diving shops and more.
There is a nearby rocky beach, with amazing sunrises, and good snorkeling. We are 30 min away by bus from the city and ferry terminal where you can take ferries to the surroundings islands.
