Description
Casa Arkaana is a family-run retreat venue on five acres of private jungle in Chemuyil, 20 minutes north of Tulum and about 90 minutes from Cancún airport. We host one group at a time, so the whole property is yours for your dates: the Temple, the cenote-fed pool, the temazcal, the fire circle and every room.
Facilitators bring their group and their program. We take care of everything around it: meals made by our cooks around your schedule and your group's dietary needs, airport transfers, cenote and beach outings, and a member of our family on the property every day of your retreat.
The Temple is a covered, open-sided space for up to 24 people, built for ceremony, yoga, breathwork, sound and movement. The pool is fed by cenote water from below the land. The temazcal (traditional sweat lodge) is on site, and we can arrange a guided ceremony with our team.
We have hosted more than forty retreats since 2021: ceremonial work, women's circles, nervous system and somatic retreats, breathwork, yoga and teacher trainings, with 68 five-star Google reviews.
When you book with us, we also help you fill your retreat: your own retreat page on our website, a post and carousel for our Instagram and Facebook, a flyer, and drone footage and photos of the land for your own channels.
Rates are for the whole property: $785 USD per night from June 21 to September 22, $985 USD per night from September 23 to June 20. Full board is about $57 USD per person per day.
Bedrooms
8 rooms for 16 guests: 4 Veranda rooms with private bathrooms and ceiling fans, and 4 Jungle Casitas with standing fans. Each room has two single beds that join into a king, so it works as a shared twin or a private room. Up to 24 with 4 glamping tents (October to May; June to September on request). Screened windows throughout.
Bathrooms
Each of the 4 Veranda rooms has a private bathroom. The 4 Jungle Casitas share two full bathrooms. Glamping guests use the shared bathrooms by the Temple. Hot water from efficient gas boilers. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and biodegradable soap are provided.
Cleaning
Common areas and the Temple are cleaned every day, and rooms are tidied daily during your retreat. Fresh towels mid-stay and whenever you ask. Full turnover with fresh linen before your group arrives.
Catering
Our cooks prepare three meals a day, about $57 USD per person per day, built around your program and your group's dietary needs: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and ceremonial diets. Fresh, local ingredients, with fruit and herbs from our garden in season. Meals are quoted on your final headcount.
Kitchen and Dining room
Our cooks run the kitchen and serve meals in the open dining area beside it, under the jungle canopy. Filtered drinking water, tea and coffee are available throughout the day.
Outdoor
The Temple, a cenote-fed pool, a temazcal (traditional sweat lodge), a fire circle, decks with sun loungers, and paths through five acres of jungle with fruit trees and a herb garden. Spider monkeys, toucans and many birds pass through every day.
Things To Do Nearby
Cenotes Yax-Kin and Dos Ojos, Xcacel beach (a protected turtle-nesting beach), Akumal bay and the Tulum ruins are all a short drive away. We arrange vans for group outings.
Parking
Parking available for up to 5 cars inside the property and 5 more just outside. Safe, convenient, and nestled in nature—perfect for groups, retreats, or family stays in the jungle.
