There is no dedicated studio. Practice happens outdoors, in the villa you have taken, so nothing is shared with another group. The largest lawn holds about 20 on mats, with shaded verandahs, a seaside gazebo and the shoreline for smaller sessions. We keep 50 mats and 50 blocks on property, so nothing needs shipping. Organizers bring bolsters, straps and sound, or we can source locally.
Eco practices
A 150kW solar array with 750kWh of battery storage is going in across every villa and suite, and by the end of October 2026 the resort runs entirely off grid. We sit beside a protected fish sanctuary. More than 50 staff are hired locally and our carpenters repair rather than replace. Two percent of every stay funds the Foundation.

Description
Bluefields Bay Villas & Suites is an all-inclusive private villa resort on Jamaica's quiet South Coast, in Westmoreland. The same family has run it for more than forty years, and it is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Groups take exclusive use of the houses along a private stretch of shoreline. Mullion Cove sleeps 12, The Hermitage 9 and Cottonwood Cottage 4, so 25 together, and four adults-only suites with a shared infinity pool take the group to 33. Space to gather and practice includes shaded verandahs, open lawns and gardens, a seaside gazebo and the shoreline itself.
Each villa comes with its own team: chef, butler, housekeeper and groundskeeper. All meals and beverages, open bar, non-motorized watersports and childcare are included in the rate, so there is no catering to arrange and no service charge added afterward. Your chef cooks around the group's schedule and dietary needs, whether that means breakfast after a sunrise practice or a late dinner. WiFi throughout.
We have hosted returning wellness retreat groups here for seven consecutive years, so the staff know how a retreat week runs.
Bluefields is a working fishing village beside a protected fish sanctuary, with a public beach park nearby and Peter Tosh's birthplace in neighboring Belmont. Black River, YS Falls and the South Coast's floating bar are within easy reach, and Negril is about an hour. Sangster International (MBJ) is roughly 70 minutes by road.
Two percent of every stay funds the Bluefields Bay Villas Foundation.
Bedrooms
Mullion Cove: 6 bedrooms sleeping up to 12, with 2 kings, 3 queens and a twin; rollaways available. The Hermitage: 4 bedrooms for up to 9, with 2 kings, a queen, and a room with a queen and a twin. Cottonwood Cottage: 2 bedrooms for up to 4, configured as 2 kings or 1 king and 2 twins. The four adults-only suites are king-bedded with private verandahs.
Bathrooms
Mullion Cove has 5 bathrooms, 4 of them en suite, and one bedroom has an outdoor bathtub. The Hermitage has 3.5, one shared between two bedrooms. Cottonwood Cottage has 2. Each of the three houses has a bathtub; the rest are showers. The four suites each have their own en suite bath. Towels, beach towels, and toiletries are provided.
Cleaning
Daily housekeeping is included, with a dedicated housekeeper for each villa. Rooms are made up each morning, laundry is done during your stay, and the living spaces are kept through the day, so a group can leave a room mid-session and come back to it reset. There is no cleaning fee and no end-of-stay clean to arrange; linen and towels are included.
Catering
All catering is included and handled in house. Each villa has its own chef cooking three meals a day plus snacks, with an open bar. Menus are planned with you beforehand and the kitchen cooks to whatever the group wants, though the heart of it is Jamaican fusion. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and allergies are routine. No fixed mealtimes, so meals fit your schedule.
Kitchen and Dining room
The kitchen is professional and staff-run. Your chef, butler and housekeeper handle everything, so no group needs to cook, though the kitchen is open to anyone who wants to watch or learn. Meals are served wherever you like: the dining verandah, poolside, on the beach, or all together at the table. Twenty-two can eat together at the Hermitage main table.
Outdoor
The villas sit in tropical gardens on a private stretch of shoreline, with lawns running down to the water. Mullion Cove has a flower garden, a seaside gazebo and a short path to its beach; The Hermitage opens onto more than 1,000 feet of private waterfront. Each has a pool, shaded verandahs, loungers, hammocks and outdoor dining. Watersports run from the beach; non-motorized are included.
Things To Do Nearby
The bay is a protected fish sanctuary and one of Jamaica's best birding areas. Peter Tosh's birthplace and museum is in neighboring Belmont. Within an easy drive: the Black River safari, YS Falls, the Pelican Bar out on the sandbar, Mayfield Falls and the Roaring River caves. Negril is about an hour. This is the quiet coast, so nothing here draws a crowd. The concierge arranges everything.
