Description

Encircled by landscaped gardens and open countryside, the château provides an inspiring and deeply peaceful setting for retreats that value presence, depth and connection.

Made of travertine: this stone is formed at natural hot springs and has the deep healing and cleansing effect to the body, mind and spirit. It encourages one to feel stability and peace within. A stone to enhance creativity, optimism and motivation.

Every window opens onto panoramic views of fields, woodland and sky.

Bedrooms

Chateau:
-3 rooms with 3 x king size beds that can’t be separated.
-5 rooms with doubles, which can be separated and made into twins.
Grange/Barn (next to the Chateau):
- 1 x king size bed that can’t be separated
-3 x doubles that can be separated and made into twins.

All rooms have en-suites. Two of the bedrooms in the main house have 2 en-suites - bath in one and shower in the other.

Bathrooms

All bedrooms have en-suites with wcs, sinks (some double) and showers. 10 have showers and baths. 2 bedrooms have 2 en-suites - bath in 1 and a shower in the other. Those within the chateau offer sensor-tripped, low level floor lighting. Extra bathrooms are available by pool, in the Long Room (largest studio in the Grange/Barn) and on the ground floor of the Château.

Cleaning

Housekeeping is provided 6 days per week (sheets and towels will be changed weekly) unless by special arrangement. Reception rooms as well as terraces will be cleaned and tidied daily. The tennis court will be prepared daily and the garden will be maintained daily to a high level. A laundry service can be provided at an extra cost - please ask us for details.

Catering

A private in-house chef can be arranged. Meals are prepared on site using local, seasonal ingredients and served either indoors or across the estate’s outdoor dining terraces. Optional wine pairings that reflect the richness of the region can also be offered. Guests often linger over long lunches and share informal suppers around the wood‑fired pizza oven. Bars can also be stocked by the chef.

Kitchen and Dining room

The guest kitchen is fully equipped and includes:
-Range Hob + Oven
-Fridges, including a wine fridge
-Crockery, Cutlery + glassware + cookware
-Boiling + iced water via a Quooker tap
-Wooden table + benches seating up to 8
-Central Island + stools
We also have tea and coffee facilities on the 1st floor of the Chateau. Our main dining room (close to both kitchens) seats up to 24.

Outdoor

The terrace East of the kitchen, where the sun rises, looks over the rolling hills. The other terrace has a long table seating up to 24 guests. This is a shady spot, close to the 2 x BBQs and pizza oven, and with convenient service from the chef's kitchen. There is also a large soft seating area where canapés and drinks can be served before dinner. Wifi and sonos speakers are available.

Things To Do Nearby

The local area is ideal for walking, exploring fine medieval villages, antique markets, horse-riding tours, playing golf, boat trips and wine tasting. Nearby Cahors is a beautiful medieval town on the river, full of upmarket shops and a great market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Other local places of interest include Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and Moissac.
