The Old Monastery, retreat venue Cyprus consist of 5 buildings, 6 fully equipped self catering apartments, 14 bedrooms with 25 beds. There are 2 meeting rooms, a central swimming pool, communal meeting spaces, an art studio and a laundry. All bedrooms, all meeting rooms and most of the lounges have inverter air conditioning units for heating or cooling. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, coffee maker or press, fridge freezer, a dining and lounge area, as well as a bathroom. All have a balcony or terrace, and have access to two courtyards for communal meetings.

We are in the heart of Lapta village with 2 local restaurants, 3 nearby supermarkets, barber shops, a children's playground. The public dolmus buses stop outside the gate and link Lapta to Girne and beyond. There is a public beach and numerous coastal restaurants about 20 minutes walking distance away, or 5 minutes by car.

The beauty of The Old Monastery is that there is space to retreat to your private space and there is also ample space for meetings or communal eating. Guests feel the peace and atmosphere of rest exuded in this retreat venue in Cyprus,  by the traditional architecture, the majestic Cyprus trees, the beautiful swimming pool.

We have hosted retreats up to 25 people and weddings up to 70 people, from short stays to 3 months. We can arrange catering, transport, flowers, hairdressers, beauticians, photographers, music and sound system. For those on a budget we can also work with you to provide some of our own equipment.
