Our covered yoga studio comfortably hosts up to 8 mats, while the uncovered portion (recommended during high season only) hosts another 7 mats. Props included: mats, bolsters, zabuton meditation cushions, zafu meditation cushions, blankets, blocks and straps.

Eco practices

We recycle & compost, Our staff is trained by the no plastic nosara initiative. All of our cleaning products are natural & biodegradable. We have low-flush toilets and a state of the art waste water treatment center. We donate to Costas Verdes to help plant trees in the beach refuge, the Nosara Civic Association, Amigos de Nosara (animals & children) and WCA to monitor the quality of ocean water.

Description

Iluminar borders the 200M beach refuge in Playa Guiones, Nosara, an area famous for its year-round beginner surf waves, nature and healing arts. We are one of few properties in the area with direct beach access, which makes for an easeful retreat setting. We are also walking distance to an eclectic array of shops and restaurants on Nosara's desirable north end yet tucked away behind lush garden walls, offering serenity and seclusion. Accommodations include 6 spacious King suites, a beach house and a small container. The beach house is the retreat hub: the first floor has a large kitchen and dining area and 2 master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (there are 5 single beds). The second floor (accessible from the outside only) boasts the yoga studio with both covered and uncovered spaces. The 3 earth suites have 1 king & 1 single, while the 3 air suites have 1 king bed only. The container has 1 double bed. Rent the beach house for up to 5 ppl and add more accommodations as needed.

Walking barefoot to the beach through the refuge on our pristine path is truly magical. Throughout the day, the ever-present lure of mother ocean is audible. Monkeys frequent our property as well as pozotes, iguanas, butterflies and many bird species. Our garden is full of a diversity of plants, flowers and food such as papayas, pineapple, mango, passion fruit and avocados. Daily maid service is included with your stay. We are happy to help arrange a private chef for your group as well as suggest local activities and tours.
