Burrows Lea Country House sits within 33 acres of gardens and ancient woodland in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - close enough to London for easy access, yet a world away once you arrive.

The main house offers 8 individually styled luxury suites (sleeping up to 20 sharing, or 8 single occupancy), plus a complimentary host room. Add the adjoining Dell Cottage for a 12-suite estate, sleeping up to 26 sharing or 12 single occupancy. You'll also have a flexible teaching and relaxing space, an intimate therapy and class room for 6–8, a larger group space for up to 20, and — on request — a theatre-style space for up to 60, adaptable for teaching, sound bath, yoga, breathwork or qi gong.

Three kitchens (one commercial-grade, two domestic) support any catering setup, from a private chef to shared self-catering. Outside, a fire pit anchors evening circles, with direct access to hundreds of acres of woodland walking trails and nearby freshwater swimming. Wood-fired hut saunas and cold plunge pools are available as an add-on for contrast therapy.

Burrows Lea carries 80 years of healing heritage as home of the Harry Edwards Foundation, a Surrey Hills sanctuary that has hosted those seeking rest, renewal and transformation since long before "retreat" became an industry. 8 luxury en-suite bedrooms in the main house: two super king, one super king with adjoining twin. 6 suites flexible single/shared. Dell Cottage 3 large bedrooms (zip-and-link, single or twin) plus a 4th bedroom withsofa bed and 2 bathrooms. Single Occupancy Whole Site 12. Double occupancy 26 plus a retreat host room with separate shower.

Cleaning

A full room turnaround — including a linen change and thorough clean — is carried out at the end of every retreat, ready for the next arrival.

Catering

Three kitchens on site: one commercial-grade, ready for your own chef or catering team, plus two domestic kitchens for shared meal prep and everyday self-catering. Catering can also be arranged directly with Burrows Lea's in-house chef, offering tailored meal plans for your retreat — or bring your own caterer and use the facilities as you need.
