The main yoga and seminar space is a 113m² geodesic Dome, suitable for groups of up to 30–35 participants depending on the setup. It is fully equipped with 30 yoga mats, 30 pillows, 30 mattresses, and 30 blankets, making it ideal for yoga, meditation, workshops, and group sessions.

Eco practices

Freedom Ville runs on solar energy and follows a regenerative, low-impact approach. We use septic systems and only natural cleaning and beauty products. Kitchen waste is composted or fed to chickens. We grow food in a pesticide-free garden, reuse water for irrigation, and actively work on reforestation and land restoration.

Description

Freedom Ville is a nature-based retreat venue set on 14 hectares of land in central Portugal, designed to support meaningful group experiences in a calm and inspiring environment. The space combines comfort with a sense of raw, natural beauty, allowing facilitators to create retreats that feel both held and free.

At the heart of the venue is a 113m² geodesic Dome, ideal for workshops, movement practices, ceremonies, and group sessions. In addition, there are several outdoor areas, including shaded gathering spaces, a large pool, hot tub, a natural rock pool with a seasonal waterfall, and an outdoor gym for functional training and movement in nature.

Accommodation includes a mix of individually styled studios and rooms, hosting groups of up to approximately 30–35 guests comfortably. The layout supports both community and privacy, with shared spaces for connection and quiet corners for integration.

Freedom Ville has hosted a variety of group retreats, from yoga and breathwork to creative and leadership programs. The space is flexible and adaptable, allowing facilitators to shape the environment according to their own vision, while being supported by a grounded and experienced team.

Bedrooms

Accommodation includes 7 village studios (2–4p, mezzanine, mostly flexible beds), 5 hotel rooms (double beds, some separable), and 2 yurts. All have en suite bathrooms. Two nearby apartments sleep up to 4 and 6 guests, offering flexible shared or private setups.

Bathrooms

All accommodation units (studios, hotel rooms, yurts and apartments) have private en suite bathrooms with shower facilities. In total, there are 16 private bathrooms across the units, plus 2 additional shared bathrooms located in the taverna and near the pool, bringing the total to 18 bathrooms on site.

Cleaning

For retreats of 4+ nights, we include a mid-stay service with towel check and refresh. A full cleaning can be arranged on request. This approach supports a smooth retreat flow while balancing comfort, privacy, and minimal disruption to the group experience.

Catering

Catering is flexible and tailored to each retreat. We work with a network of experienced chefs offering plant-based, farm-to-table, open-fire and international cuisines. Our in-house retreat board includes three daily meals and is designed for ease and flow. External chefs are welcome with exclusive venue rental.

Kitchen and Dining room

All 7 studios include kitchenettes, while 2 larger apartments have full kitchens with oven and dishwasher. A covered outdoor communal kitchen in the village offers a BBQ, 6-burner gas stove and oven. The taverna, as the social hub, features a professional kitchen suitable for retreat chefs. Dining accommodates approx. 30–35 guests at once.

Outdoor

Set on 14 hectares of lush land, the property offers terraced gardens, intimate outdoor spaces, and walking trails directly from the site. Facilities include a large pool with sun deck, 2 hot tubs, sauna and steam bath, outdoor gym, rooftop terrace, BBQ areas and communal ovens for bread and pizza baking. In winter, a river with waterfall and natural rock pool flows through the land.

From river beaches and hidden waterfalls to hiking, canoeing and cycling through wild landscapes, the area invites gentle exploration. For a softer pace, nearby Castelo Branco offers gardens, culture and local charm.
