Various options are available for your yoga, seminars and other practices: open air in the garden, on the beach or up on the hills. Under a roof at the Fijian beach bure, the sea-view seminar room or in the restaurant. We can take you by boat to a near-by private beach. Sound system and TV are available. If you have specific requirements, we will do our best to create these for you.
The resort runs on solar energy with an efficient back-up generator. Housekeeping uses organic cleaners plus disinfectants to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Plastics are reduced to a minimum: filtered spring water in refillable bottles, no plastic dishes, cotton serviettes. No cans or imported food. All dishes are based on local organic ingredients. Carved out of the jungle, Viani Bay Retreat is located at the famous Rainbow Reef Fiji, 15 minutes by boat from Taveuni. The purposefully unpretentious bungalows with private bathrooms, porch, sea and garden view are built from natural materials with all the comfort needed to relax and feel at home. The contemporary Fijian menus, blended with a western touch, are freshly prepared with organic local ingredients to support your retreat goals. Various dietary choices available. We create vegan ice-cream based on coconut milk, make our own handcrafted sea salt, bread and jams.
Maximum capacity: 13 guests. For more privacy, we recommend 8 participants plus instructor. The property offers ample space in the garden, on the beach and the Fijian beach bure to conduct yoga or other teaching sessions. The shallow water in front of the resort is perfect for in-water practices like SUP-yoga, snorkeling, diving or freediving. Freediving is all about synchronizing mind and body and perfectly blends in with yoga and relaxation objectives. Strolls around the bay, hikes to the hills with stunning views and alternative places for meditation round up your program. Get an authentic impression of Fijian culture, learn about healing plants and Fijian handicraft. The resort also offers to join their conservation programs and visit the coral nursery.
Bungalows: 1 kingsize or 2 single beds, or 1 kingsize + 1 single bed. One bungalow features 2 bedrooms with 1 king-size and 1 double bed. Cabin with 2-3 single beds. Modifications possible.
Bungalows with en-suite bathroom and open-air shower, hot water upon request/surcharge. Cabin with shared toilet and shower a few steps outside. Shower bath and soap provided.
Daily maiden service. We use organic cleaner in combination with disinfectant to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Bed linen and towels for shower and beach are provided and will be changed after 5 days or upon request if needed.
