Private Island is an ideal backdrop for sports, exploration, spirituality, team bonding, or any other desired activity. Our venue is a special blend of Indonesian sanctuary, sustainable living, and wildlife conservation.

STAY
You will stay in five tropical cottages with a maximum capacity of 12 guests. Located just steps from the beach, the cottages offer the soothing sound of the ocean for peaceful sleep and the gentle call of birds at sunrise. Nestled in a private guest area, they ensure full comfort and privacy. Each cottage showcases authentic design, ocean views, and amenities including daily housekeeping, fresh towels, mosquito nets, fans, drinking water, WiFi, and electrical sockets.

SHALA
Fresh and spacious, our Shala provides the ideal setting for your retreat, nestled on the coast with stunning ocean views and swaying coconut trees. Its adaptable design allows for full openness or cozy seclusion using roll-up blinds. It serves as the heart of group gatherings, dining, meditation, fitness, and more.

TRAVEL
The easiest way to Pinang is by flying to Medan. There are direct flights to Medan from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta. Upon arrival in Medan, a short flight will take you to Singkil, from where we take care of you.

We offer full board meals sourced fresh from the island's permaculture garden, featuring locally caught fish. Our cuisine caters to vegans, vegetarians, and special dietary needs.

Kitchen is separate and Dining is held in Shala.

Things To Do Nearby

You can explore the island in an hour during low tide, climb Clove Hill, trek through the biodiverse jungle, and spot various animal species and ancient trees. Bangkaru Island boasts one of Indonesia's few remaining primary rainforests. We can arrange an overnight stay to observe these incredible turtles nesting.

We can also organize trips to Lake Toba or Bukit Lawang to see orangutans.

Booking Conditions

To reserve the dates, we require a non-refundable deposit of 2000 USD. This ensures that we hold the entire island exclusively for you, and you commit to do your best to run the retreat. The first payment of 50% of the total amount, minus the deposit, is due 6 months before your arrival. The remaining 50% is due no later than 1 month before arrival
