We have a 50m2, outdoor, covered, wooden platform for you to hold your retreat activities. It has lighting, electric points and wifi. We provide yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, eye masks and straps. For art retreats, we have easels.

Eco practices

We ask our guests to recycle and to bring and use eco-friendly bathroom products.
All our yoga equipment is made from sustainable sources and bought from ethical and eco conscious companies.
The logs that we burn for heating in the cottage is seasoned so it burns efficiently.

Description

Moulin de Passais Retreats is set in the heart of the Normandy countryside. The stunning, tree-lined 5-acre lake serves as a back drop to your retreat.

We have a 2-bedroom stone cottage for guests; one double en-suite room and one triple sharing room with separate shower room. The kitchen is well equipped and the table and benches are perfect for "family-style" meals during retreats. The shepherd's hut provides additional accommodation on the lake. There is a double bed, has its own kitchenette and lounge area, and a terrace and compost toilet outside. Guests staying in the shepherd's hut would share the shower room in the main cottage.
There is a 50m2 wooden covered platform overlooking the lake for your retreat activities and another deck near the shepherd's hut which is a beautiful spot in late afternoons. Our forest area next to the cottage is also ideal to incorporate into your retreat, along with the meadows adjacent. Fire pits are dotted around the place which can also be used.

The surrounding area has numerous churches, a neolithic burial ground and a small village a 20-minute walk away which has a bakery, butchers, newsagents, little shop, pharmacy and bistro. The guests have access to bikes and there are lovely walks nearby. Domfront, a beautiful medieval town, is 15 minute drive away and has some lovely bistros and cafes.

1 double room and en-suite shower room. This room also has a double sofa bed. The other bedroom has 3 single beds. 2 beds can be put together to form a double bed. The shepherd's hut has a double bed.

Catering

There is a kitchen in the cottage for you to make meals. For an additional cost, we could provide a catering service.

The kitchen is spacious and well equipped to make retreat meals. The farmhouse style table and 2 benches can easily fit 8 people for meals.

The outside covered platform for retreat activities.

The lake, forest and meadow areas are available for walks, meditation or ceremonies.

Things To Do Nearby

There are many markets and brocantes (antique shops) nearby, as well as churches, the waterfalls at Mortain and Domfront medieval town. There are beautiful walks and cycle routes. There is also a ceramic museum in nearby Ger. There are many bistros and cafes to enjoy the French life.
