La Salle, situated in South west France is a beautiful limestone country retreat with private grounds, swimming pool and large equipped art or yoga studio, sleeping up to 14 guests in en suite rooms.

Large spacious art studio of 60 square meters with a wooden floor is equipped with easels, boards and tables and chairs. Tea and coffee making facilities with sink and storage. Airconditioning and fans if required. Although we use it as an art studio, it would work equally well as a Yoga or Pilates studio.

Eco practices

We visit the many farmers markets weekly and purchase from local organic producers. We recycle waste produce if possible and are mindful of packaging. We compost organic waste from the kitchen and grow some of our own produce such as tomatoes and fruit, apples, pears, peaches, figs, pommegranites,and plums.

Description

Ideally situated, just over one hour from Toulouse International Airport, La Salle retreat centres France is a country retreat with individually decorated en suite rooms where we run a variety of painting holidays with visiting guest tutors from April to October. We provide Airport transfers, winetasting in nearby Chateau Monluc and transport to some beautiful locations nearby, including some of the listed 'most beautiful villages in france', a UNESCO world heritage site and magnificent gardens. Although in the countryside, we are not isolated, being only a 10 minute walk to our nearby village of Saint-Puy which has all amenities, including Chateau, Boulangerie, Restaurant and Pizzeria.

Our large art studio is fully equipped with easels, boards and tables etc for guest use and could also be suitable for yoga or Pilates. There is a large outdoor pool with terraced surround and sunbeds in our retreat centres France. There are sunny and shaded areas in the gardens with pergola, covered terrace for al fresco dining and a beautiful sunny Orangery for breakfast and evening meals in the cooler months.

The area is known as the 'Tuscany of France' with rolling fields of Sunflowers and Vineyards all around and hundreds of tiny hilltop villages to explore, making this the ideal retreat location. The area is known for its' gastronomy, wine and especially Armagnac, the oldest Brandy in the world. D'Artagnan, the famous Musketeer was born in nearby Lupiac and there are many references to him in street names and on restaurant menus.
