The light-filled Great Hall over the Boat house has 270 degree views over the water and Blue Mountain. It has a wooden floor and vaulted roof and a balcony where guests can go to take their breaks, overlooking th large Dock with 18 Adirondack chairs overlooking serene Eagle Lake. The Boat house has tables and chairs, but no wifi, two bathrooms, a ping pong room, and 4 canoes.
From using warm eco light bulbs, to avoiding plastic and disposable products, to deliveries of products in bulk, Eagle Nest is constantly reviewing and changing our ways to become increasingly sustainable.
Great Camp Eagle Nest is a historic, private 2000 acre estate, in the heart of the Adirondacks. There are 20+ miles of trails and three pristine lakes, making Eagle Nest truly a place of remove, peace, and calm. Built in 1937, the Lodge is full of the rustic elegance of another era, but is also wired for connectivity, allowing for corporate events, private retreats, and multi-generational family reunions. Activities abound for groups with all interests both on and off the property. Local merchants will supply boats, bikes, and even airplane rides delivered to the doorstep and dockside, and our partner Spa can come to pamper your group like royalty! We provide a list of caterers, classes and local resources, to book in advance.
The property includes the Lodge and Guest house; Speakeasy games room & bar; A private studio cabin for massage therapy; the Boat house with a vast light-filled upstairs great hall and large dock with 4 canoes; tennis courts and boules & croquet field; Adirondack "Lean-To" and fire pit; sandy beach and airplane hangar.
The house comes stocked with firewood, coffee, ice and s'mores baskets and the rooms are supplied with bathroom amenities, 100% Egyptian cotton linens and plush microfibre robes.
Eagle Nest has the Lodge and Guest house, and Studio "laundry" cottage~ in all 22 bedrooms: 8 Kings, 3 Queens, 4 double twins, 2 Doubles, 1 triple & 4 singles, most of them with views of the lake.
There are 18 bathrooms, as most bedrooms have their own bathroom with bath and walk in closet and many have fireplaces.
The house is professionally cleaned on turnover days and we include a tidy day for switching of bathtowels and replacing amenities.
We provide the best all 100% Egyptian linen sheets and towels, and two plush microfibre robes for each room.
We have a list of wonderful catering options from the simple to the sublime, which we provide to all those who book their stay with us, and recommend that our guests book well in advance.
